THE WEEKEND EDIT
Scorpio season has arrived, and he's drawing a crowd.
Cosmically speaking, we're entering one of the busiest traffic and weather weekends of the fall. Four days. A parade of major cosmic events. And not a traffic cop in sight. All of it is pushing the energy around you inward, backward and under the surface.
The typical advice to simply flow with it won't work in this situation, unless it's not unusual for people to turn cartwheels and somersaults instead of walking the halls at the office, or through the campus, or even in the grocery store.
May we politely suggest you, personally, refrain from using the energy in this way? People may ponder your mental state. If nothing else, they'll consider you in violation of community standards that call for one foot on the ground at all times.
Some, but not all, of this is courtesy of Scorpio stepping into the starring role as Libra's contract is now over. It happened today, Edit Insiders.
Typical symptoms related to Scorpio's arrival? The energy feels heavier, yet more alive. To the casual observer (which you are not), it appears that everything is quiet and calm. On the surface, it is. But anyone who knows a Scorpio knows calm, cool and collected is simply how they roll.
What's going on underneath that surface? That's where all the action is, and it's not a place for the timid or the meek.
Scorpio is infamous for his intensity, yes. With that comes a directness that can border on dangerous. The thing is, Scorpio pays it no mind. In fact, to his mind, you should easily be able to handle his particular brand of truth, which believe it or not, is intended to help you. Now, the fact his brand of truth often comes wrapped in fire is something he simply overlooks, but it's there for a reason. If nothing else, to get your attention.
But there is, as always, another side to the story: As intense as Scorpio energy is, it has a uniquely soft and gentle flip side. That's something few people get to see, and it happens only when you've earned his trust.
Children, animals, even nature are exempt from his flames, because he knows they are pure of heart and designed to fill our days with delightful chaos.
Now that Scorpio season is here, we suggest you spend some time getting to know him. Trust the energy in play. Listen for its clues. It is here to help you.
But no one said this was going to be easy.
This weekend, you'll also be faced with Venus at the midpoint of her retrograde, which may bring love and money to the forefront and, with Scorpio activated, perhaps some distrust and suspicion. Scorpio wants proof. He even seeks proof of intention, which doesn't exist, but that's a weak excuse in his book.
And look who's joining Venus in retrograde: Mercury.
Ah, our favorite little planet of communications will happily assist in erasing items from your daily calendar to put you in the wrong place at the wrong time. For good measure, he may even randomly drop your Wi-Fi. It all will be rather amusing. To him. To Scorpio? These are the types of things that fuel his need to investigate.
Think that's enough? Oh, no. Overnight Sunday into Monday brings a Taurus Full Moon, with Pluto adding his particular brand of trouble. (No such thing as a little bit of trouble when Pluto is around.) At that point, the weekend stops asking questions and starts demanding answers.
You may claim to be an innocent bystander and full-fledged victim of planetary gymnastics this weekend, but don't expect a get-out-of-jail-free card. You'll need to earn that, darling.
Welcome to Scorpio season, where things get interesting and no one has any idea why.
🍸Cosmic Energy Best Bets
When to get moving: Friday afternoon into early evening. The Moon enters Aries about 4 p.m. ET. Change your scenery, get some exercise or tackle something you've been putting off. Aries doesn't particularly care what you do, as long as you do something.
When to be social: Saturday early evening. The Aries Moon and Mars in Leo are on the same page, so the energy is bold, playful and ready for a good time. Say yes to the invite. Runner-up: Sunday morning, when Jupiter makes everyone generous and upbeat. Brunch, anyone?
When to stroll through nature: Sunday evening. The Moon is nearly full and rising around dusk. Head outside and catch it coming up, big and bright. After 7:34 p.m. ET, the Moon settles into earthy Taurus, making the evening ideal for slowing down and enjoying your surroundings. If Sunday gets away from you, a Monday lunchtime walk still gets you that grounded Taurus glow.
When to deal with that thing you need to deal with: Saturday morning. The Moon meets Saturn, and Saturn doesn't accept excuses. With Mercury freshly retrograde, this is prime time to handle old business: the call you've been dodging, the mess you've been meaning to untangle. Review the fine print before making new commitments.
When to take cover: Friday morning into early afternoon, when the Moon falls silent and new initiatives may struggle to gain traction. Also Monday evening, when tempers run short and egos run large.
THE COSMIC WEATHER REPORT
Friday: Foggy Start, Rising Temperatures
Scorpio season arrives, bringing a noticeable change in atmospheric pressure. The Pisces Moon drifts silently until 3:53 p.m., making the first half of the day feel like walking through fog. Then the Moon charges into Aries, and suddenly everyone has somewhere to be. Late tonight, the Sun meets retrograde Venus in Scorpio, stirring questions about love, money and what you really want. Expect some emotional revelations, possibly from yourself.
Saturday: Stop-and-Go Emotions, Clearing by Evening
Mercury officially turns retrograde overnight. Communications may get tangled, plans may require revisions and technology may develop a personality of its own. The morning's Aries Moon–Saturn relationship brings a serious, get-it-done atmosphere. By early evening, the Moon happily finds Mars in Leo, replacing some of that heaviness with confidence, enthusiasm and a healthy appetite for fun.
Sunday: Sunny moments, relationship crosswinds
Early this morning, retrograde Venus slips back into Libra. Relationships, agreements and anything that felt unfair get another look. Morning into midday is the sunniest stretch of the weekend, because Jupiter makes everyone generous and optimistic. In the early evening, feelings about someone or something you want rise to the surface.
Monday: Full Moon, high pressure system moves in
The Full Moon in Taurus peaks just after midnight, and Pluto is right there with it. This Moon is about what you hold on to: money, comfort, security, people. Pluto wants to know who’s really in control. In the morning, the Sun and Pluto clash, so expect power plays and pressure to let something go. The Taurus Moon keeps your feet on the ground through the day. In the evening, Mars stirs up short tempers and bruised egos, so pick your battles carefully.

POWER MOVE
Don’t mistake intensity for urgency.
HOW THIS ENERGY HITS BY ELEMENT
FIRE SIGNS (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)
The Moon spends Saturday and most of Sunday in Aries, while Mars and Jupiter are holding court in Leo. Translation: You're lit up while everyone else is turning inward. That's an advantage, as long as you don't mistake the quiet for an invitation to take over the room. Saturday morning calls for a little responsibility before you charge ahead. Sunday morning is your sweet spot, so make plans and make them fun.
Magnetism Move: Lead with warmth, not volume. This weekend, people lean in for your glow.
EARTH SIGNS (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn)
The Full Moon lands in Taurus, so this weekend comes to a head on your turf: money, comfort, security and what you've earned. Taurus, darling, you're in the spotlight (the one Fire signs think they own, so careful there), and Pluto wants to know what you're gripping too tightly. Virgo, Mercury retrograde may trip you up in the least likely places. Cap, your practical instincts will come in handy when everyone else's plans start going kablooey.
Magnetism Move: Stay steady, darling. It's your calling card this weekend. Calm makes you the most attractive thing in the room right now.
AIR SIGNS (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius)
Mercury retrograde brings conversation, plans and signals under review — but does not make appointments to do just that. Expect crossed wires and replies that come back with the wrong, ahem, tone. Libra, Venus backs into your sign Sunday, and an old relationship question comes back to finish what it started. Aquarius, the Full Moon puts the squeeze on you Monday, so watch for power struggles at work or at home. Hey, Gem, double-check what you've heard before passing it along. Your credibility is in play.
Magnetism Move: Open the ears, close the mouth. Your best move this weekend is a basic survival technique.
WATER SIGNS (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces)
Welcome home, darling. Scorpio season has finally arrived, turning up your power level to the point where you'll read the room before anyone else has had time to order a drink. So yes, Scorp, the world understands you own the season. But note this: Mercury is backing up in your sign, so revisit before you reinvent (or something worse). Pisces, Friday's dreamy start favors your imagination and intuition, which is lovely, until people start asking what you're really up to. Cancer, Sunday evening may bring questions about how much you're giving and getting in return. Focus on the type of honesty that cannot be misunderstood.
Magnetism Move: Follow your instincts, get the proof, then proceed. In that order.
See You Tuesday
Now, go on and weekend.
