The universe continues to expand. Shouldn’t our capacity for love expand with it?

We keep finding ways to divide ourselves into smaller and smaller pieces — as if retreating will protect us from what’s unfamiliar, uncomfortable, or inconvenient. Technology was supposed to widen our horizons. Instead, it often pulls us further inward, into curated feeds, narrower views, and ​m​ore limited circles.

And if we’re honest, the way humanity treats itself sends many messages — but love is not always the loudest among them.​ We have much to learn, from both the heavens above and the animal kingdom with whom we share the planet.

Astrologically, the timing of this Valentine’s season is ​i​ntriguing. Major planetary shifts are pushing us to rethink how we show up, what we stand for, and how willing we are to engage with the world beyond our own emotional comfort zones. The cosmos isn’t reinforcing separation right now — ​in fact, it’s urging participation, courage, and connection with intention.

Perhaps what the universe is really asking us to understand is that expanding our focus — our minds, and yes, our hearts — is the surest way to align with the deeper rhythms already at work around us. Rhythms that, incidentally, tend to know the answers to questions we haven’t even thought to ask yet.

Maybe love, as we ​h​ave come to define it, is simply too small.

It knows its place in the world. It offers what it was meant to offer. Without apology.

And maybe that’s the question this moment is really asking us:
Do we know our place in the world — and are we willing to love from it?
