THE WEEKLY EDIT
On Wednesday, the universe showcases its sense of humor.
Oh, yes, Edit Insiders, it’s the real deal. The focus this week is all Wednesday. But that hasn’t stopped humanity from getting a jump on things and — how shall we say this delicately? — losing their minds.
You may be suffering an onslaught of social media posts in your feed warning you to run for cover and beware the conspiracy that’s about to occur overhead.
We don’t hang in those ‘hoods. Here, darling, we’d rather focus on how to put the universe to work for you so you can run your own life, not the other way around.
You with us? Good.
So yes, a planetary pileup, a total solar eclipse, and a Perseid shower, to boot? What more does the universe have to do to get your damn attention?
This is all about … labels.
🍸Didn’t see that coming, did you? That’s the lesson this week.
You’ve grown so accustomed to experiencing life as a label that you’re drowning in labels and don’t even know it.
We go through life collecting labels. We assign them to others. Others assign them to us. Then we try to wrestle back control by announcing who we are and how we want to be seen — which can earn us a few more: Dubious. Fake. Inauthentic. Not-to-be-trusted-at-all-costs.
But the sky knows. And that’s why this week, when you don those ever-so-stylish eclipse glasses and turn your face toward the Sun, it’s best to remember that labels not only prevent us from seeing the full story, but they also prevent us from telling ours.
When the Moon blocks the Sun, it asks one simple question: Who are you when no one can read your label?
COSMIC WEATHER REPORT
Tuesday: A weird range of emotional clouds roll through today, thanks to Mars entering Cancer early in the day… followed by the Moon doing acrobatics through a multitude of planets. The energy will be a loud rollercoaster ride. Strap in and make the best of it.
Wednesday: The weather is locked and loaded, thanks to a total solar eclipse and Leo New Moon … and a planet parade and Perseid shower. All this energy around you will push for performative measures and what the hell. Go ahead and make your high school drama teacher proud. Just … don’t livestream it, ‘kay?
Thursday: The energy changes swiftly today, partly to shake yesterday’s emotional charge out of you, and partly to clear whatever mental fog may have surfaced from too many cosmic events messing with your vibe. Blame it on the Moon. It’s a worthy adversary when it wants to be.
Friday: Finally, calm and quiet. The emotional whiplash is over, and what transpires now is interesting: Mercury and Jupiter are building toward an expansion of your ideas — and your confidence — while the Virgo Moon has your back. What’s percolating probably isn’t following your predetermined narrative. Funny, huh?

POWER MOVE
See what you do when you’re not performing who you are.
HOW THIS ENERGY HITS THE SIGNS
This Week's Energy + Your Sign = Magnetism Score
10 = Magnetic north. Doors open. People notice. Synchronicities abound.
8–9 = Strong attraction energy. Work with it, don't force it.
6–7 = Mixed signals. Stay aware. Don't chase.
4–5 = Course correction territory. The lesson is more valuable than the outcome.
1–3 = Stop pushing. The universe is trying to tell you something.
ARIES
Oh, Aries. You’ve been carrying a label about what makes you happy — or what you’re supposed to want. Wednesday totally messes with that script. Follow whatever feels genuinely fun before you start explaining why it’s impractical. Magnetism: 4/10
TAURUS
Your love for comfort is part of the problem. No escaping that this week. Home, family and your place within both are up for editing. Rearrange the furniture, literally or otherwise. Rethink the rules you set for yourself. Dare to move a chair a few inches to the right. Hey, starting with a small change is still a start. Magnetism: 7/10
GEMINI
Time to update that bio, Gem. You know, from the 2.0 version of yourself — isn’t that the last time you gave yourself a good hard look? And watch the words coming out of your mouth. You may hear yourself repeating an old description of yourself that predates the floppy disk era. Magnetism: 3/10
CANCER
Oh, thank the heavens. Mars moves into your sign and suddenly you have opinions, energy and approximately zero interest in apologizing for either. Good. We’ve been waiting for you to arrive. Just make sure you’re defending something you actually value — not an identity you inherited. Magnetism: 7/10
LEO
Well, look who got the eclipse. Feeling special, are we? Wednesday puts your name, image and assumptions about yourself directly under the cosmic spotlight — and then turns the spotlight off. Don’t panic. You may like the person standing there when it comes back on. Magnetism: 8.6/10
VIRGO
OK, Virg, here’s the thing. Your instinct is to analyze something, anything, until it confesses. Even if it doesn’t have a pulse. Resist. Something underneath the surface is shifting, and it doesn’t need a spreadsheet yet. Give the unnamed thing room to introduce itself. Magnetism: 7.4/10 — possibly an 8 with good behavior.
LIBRA
You’re cute when you think you’ve figured everything out. How about we let some reality drive for a while? Friends, networks and alliances can surprise you this week, especially if you’ve been operating from an old idea of where you fit. Stop reading the seating chart and go mingle. You shine when you flow with the vibe. Magnetism: 8/10
SCORPIO
Hey, Scorp. Reality check: Titles are useful until you mistake one for your identity. Career, reputation or authority gets eclipse attention this week, asking whether what people call you still matches what you’re becoming. Your résumé is not a personality. Magnetism: 6/10.
SAGITTARIUS
Ooh, something’s happening here. One of your favorite labels may be the “person who knows”. Wednesday offers the much more interesting possibility that maybe you don’t. Follow the question instead of rushing toward the answer. You may be amazed at where you land. Magnetism: 8/10
CAPRICORN
Somebody else’s expectations, resources or emotional baggage may have quietly become part of your job description. Check the fine print, Cap. You’re allowed to return responsibilities you never agreed to carry. At the very least, dump the heavy stuff in favor of a carry-on. It’s a solid start. Magnetism: 6.7/10
AQUARIUS
Relationships are mirrors, and occasionally one drops you off in a strange room standing in front of a funhouse mirror. Uh oh. Welcome to Wednesday. Unsettling, we know, but now you see the truth: Roles you and somebody else have assigned to each other are distorting your future. No need to panic. Now’s when you were meant to see this. Magnetism: 8/10
PISCES
Even your routines run the risk of becoming identity statements: I’m busy. I’m overwhelmed. I’m disciplined. I’m terrible at this. On behalf of everyone around you: Enough already. Change one ordinary thing this week without turning it into a referendum on your character and yes, we’ll all be the happier for it. And you. Magnetism: 7/10
